NOTE:
The Sunflower upgrade will begin at 8:00PM on Monday evening, December 15th, and should last approximately 14 hours. During the upgrade, FOLIO will be down, and the RTAC for Locate, EDS and OpenRS (for the FOLIO libraries, excluding University of Missouri) will be unavailable. We expect the upgrade to be completed and FOLIO to be live on Sunflower by 10:00AM on Tuesday, December 16th.
Here's what you should do:
1. Change Your Password
Go to https://mobius.folio.ebsco.com and click the “Forgot Password” link.

You should receive a password reset email. Follow the prompts to change your password.

2. Login and Verify Apps
NOTE: Due to a known issue, only lowercase characters are accepted for the username. If your username is “Cataloger”, type “cataloger”. This only matters when you are logging in; you do NOT need to change your username in your account. This issue will be corrected in the next service pack.
FOLIO has changed permission sets to a new format called “Roles.” The old permission sets were migrated so you don’t need to do anything right now as long you can perform your daily work. If you are missing an app or authorization, review steps 3 and 4, and then contact the Help Desk if needed.

3. Manage Roles
This step is not required, but if you would like to review or change user roles for a staff member, retrieve their account and go to the User Roles accordion. (Contact the Help Desk if the User Roles section is missing.)

Some of the old permission sets were migrated as strings of numbers or hashes. You can view these under Settings > Authorization Roles.

Search for a specific permission by copying/pasting the hash number and clicking Search.

Please do not delete any roles! Look at the Capability Sets and Assigned Users. If the role is needed, rename it under Actions > Edit. If not, unassign the users and leave the hash string as is. MOBIUS will be deleting unused sets and renaming sets for system users.

4. New Roles
MOBIUS created three new roles:
· MOBIUS Super User
· MOBIUS Standard User
· MOBIUS Circ Student
These are centrally managed roles and cannot be edited. The Super User role can do everything except view Consortium Manager. The Standard User can do everything except change settings or create new passwords. The Circ Student role carries the same authorizations as it has now. Using these is optional but these are being offered as an alternative to creating and assigning new roles. The structure is in response to many libraries using combinations of permission sets and individual permissions. Assign as needed.

5. Shadow Set
If a staff member is having trouble viewing shared records, make sure the MCO-Shadow set is assigned under the central affiliation. Contact the Help Desk if you need assistance.

6. Check the IP addresses for Connexion
The IP addresses for Connexion will be updated. Please check here on the 16th for any changes.
