Revision as of 21:23, 14 May 2025
8.1.1 EBSCOhost Recorded Training (12/3/24):
Q & A Follow Up:
- How-do-I-modify-Search-Modes-in-EBSCOadmin? (The ability to edit limiter labels in EBSCO products is still only available in EBSCOadmin).
- Saved Searches will sync from classic EBSCOhost system folders (My Folder only) to My Dashboard on the new EBSCOhost. You can move your saved searches in My Custom folders to saved searches in MyFolder on classic EBSCOhost to ensure your saved searches are synced.
- Note: If you have multiple queries in a saved search only the top saved query will be synced from classic to new EBSCOhost in January. You may wish to copy or screenshot your search strategies from your My Custom folders for future reference.
- Please view this quick tutorial on moving saved searches from My Custom folders to MyFolder on Classic EBSCOhost:
- Search Alerts created in classic will continue to run until the legacy system is deprecated approximately August 2025. Search alerts will not be migrated to the new EBSCOhost user interface. Search alerts must be created on the new EBSCOhost user interface.
- You can save your search alert as a saved search to the MyEBSCO (MyFolder) which will sync. Then in the new EBSCOhost UI, you can run the saved search and then create a new alert.
- Please view this quick tutorial on creating a saved search from a search alert in classic EBSCO user interfaces:
